Read from the bottom up . . .

In January 2015 I was awarded a Leadership Fellowship by the Rhode Island Foundation, which has given me the wonderful opportunity to travel around the United States photographing immigrant people and the places where they live.

Understanding that immigrants do not always live in border towns, I chose to travel to small towns in the heart of America or larger cities, which are known to have thriving immigrant communities that have made these places their homes.
